Underfoot Feel
The On Women's Cloudsurfer running shoes feel very soft because they feature CloudTec Phase cushioning. You should be able to see that midsole shapes change in direction. This unique midsole construction significantly improves your weight transfer from landing to toe-off. Translating into an ultra smooth underfoot experience.
As the Cloudsurfer are the first On running shoes to not feature a Speedboard, they feel distinctly softer than other On models. Your feet sit directly on top of plush feeling foam that feels forgiving and fluid to run on.
Upper Fit
The On Cloudsurfer's upper feels light, breathable and very comfortable. In our experience, it has an accommodating toe box. By this, we mean it suits a broader foot shape.
If you're interested, the Cloudsurfer's yarn is coloured using dope dyeing. This requires 90% less water than standard processes.
Ideal Run Type
We recommend using the On Women's Cloudsurfer running shoes for slow to steady paced runs. That's because the cushioning feels incredibly comfortable and easy to run in at these paces. This also means they work well for longer distance runs.
While the midsole will cope with some brisker efforts, the cushioning isn't overly responsive. For this reason, we wouldn't suggest using the Cloudsurfer for faster paced runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
